Application stages and statuses

You can draft any number of applications in Objective Build. These are visible only to you or your organisation. The system assigns a unique BLD identification number to a new draft application. You can edit applications in the Draft state.

BCA checks your application is complete and lodges it into the BCA's system.

Your application is processed in Objective Build Applicants module but not yet received by the BCA system.

Objective Build passes your application to the BCA system.

The application data is transferred to the BCA system.

BCA starts an administrative check of your application for completeness.

BCA requests you add additional information to your application.

BCA accepts your application but it is not yet lodged in the BCA system.

BCA has requested payment prior to completing their decision.

BCA lodges your application in the BCA system.

BCA rejects your application and provides a reason for rejection.

BCA performs a technical assessment of your application for compliance with the Building Code and issues a consent.

BCA decided to accept your application in the Lodgement stage.

Your application is accepted but the BCO has not started assessment.

BCA checks the documents you supplied show the proposed building work complies with the Building Code.

BCA requires clarification or further information.

BCA completes the assessment process and is ready to make a decision.

BCA has requested payment prior to completing their decision.

Applicant has withdrawn the application.

BCA has refused to issue a consent.

BCA is satisfied Building Code compliance is verified and you have paid all fees and levies. BCA grants the building consent.

BCA has started the process of generating the approved consent documentation.

BCA has issued the approved consent documentation.

You have not started your building work within 12 months of receiving your building consent (BCA notifies you of deadlines) and the consent has lapsed.

Consent informs you of inspections required for BCA to be satisfied the building work complies with the consent and Building Code.

Number of incomplete inspections

Number of inspections that have failed. These must be re-inspected and so the number of remaining inspections increments also as failures occur.

Number of inspections that have been passed.

All required inspections are passed.

You apply for a code compliance certificate with the required supporting documents. BCA issues the certificate if the building work complies with the building consent.

Your application for code compliance certificate is accepted and CCC processing started.

Note:  Your CCC application's Lodgement status is shown only on the CCC application overview and not in the Certificates stage of the parent consent's application overview.

BCA requests you add additional information.

BCA completes the assessment process and is ready to make a decision.

BCA refuses to issue a certificate.

BCA is satisfied with Building Code compliance and decides to issue the certificate.

BCA has requested payment prior to completing their decision.
